Otha Clinton Chick Jr.
JUNE 23, 1935 – DECEMBER 11, 2013

Otha Clinton Chick, Jr., 78 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Memorial Community Hospital in Arlington, Texas. He was born on June 23, 1935 in Dublin Texas to Otha Clinton Chick, and Martha Lois Chick.

Otha graduated Sunset High School after which time he served in the Army. After being honorably discharged from the service he attended Texas A&M University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He started his working career as an engineer and finished as Vice President of Purchasing of a Texas corporation. He was married to Percilla Ann Chick until her passing in 1994. He was a servant of Jesus Christ and was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ, having served as a volunteer in many areas of ministry. He was dedicated to his family, his church and the Lord God. Otha is now residing in heaven reunited with loved ones that have preceded him in death. He will be sincerely missed by all those whose life he touched.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Ann Yarborough of Arlington; cousin, Joan Thomas and husband Stanley of Flower Mound; cousin, Linda Beavers and husband George of San Antonio; family friend, Joseph Ratcliff of Austin; niece Debbie Hickman and husband Dave of Livermore CA; niece Angela Ratcliff of Everett WA, nephew, Ron Yarborough and wife Martha of Allen, numerous friends, and members of the North West Church of Christ in Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Percilla Ann Chick. The family wishes to thank all the medical staff of Medical Center of Arlington for all their efforts in administering to the well being of Otha Chick, Jr.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2 pm at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel and Cemetery located at 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX, 76112 with minister Terry Slack of North West Church of Christ officiating.
