Richard (Dick) W. Hickman
February 22, 1938 – December 23, 2019

Richard (Dick) W. Hickman ‘60, 81 years of age, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23, 2019. He was born in Austin, Texas, on February 22, 1938, to John and Katherine Hickman. He was raised on the Texas A&M College campus and left upon graduation to enjoy a career in aerospace and nuclear engineering. He married Joyce Horne, December 30, 1966, in Atlanta, Georgia. He retired to spend time in College Station and Hilltop Lakes. Dick loved the Lord, Joyce, his family and his dog Henry. He enjoyed many friends, attending Bible study, playing bridge, fishing, golfing and Aggie sports. His father, mother, and brother, John Fred Hickman, preceded him in death. His wife and children survive him: son Gary and wife Barbara, daughter Karen, son Carl and wife Wendy, son Daryl, and daughter Mary Beth and husband Tim. He enjoyed 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation will begin at 1:30 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Tribute at 2 pm, on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Callaway Jones Funeral Centers, 3001 South College Avenue, Bryan, with burial to follow at the College Station Memorial Cemetery, 3800 Raymond Stotzer Pkwy, College Station, Texas.
