Billy Don Sevier
1937 - 2019

Funeral services for Billy Don Sevier will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in the Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel in Porter, Texas, with Rev. Eric Scott officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service time at 10:30 a.m.

Mr. Sevier was born on February 22, 1937 in Milford, Texas to parents Dana Modon Sevier and Alta Lena (Wheelington) Sevier. He passed away on November 24, 2019 in a local hospital surrounded by family. Bill married Maxine Coile on July 8, 1967, and was the father to three sons, Craig Alan (now deceased), Marcus Todd, and Brett Steven.

Bill was a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His entire career was spent in the aerospace industry with the last 35 years at NASA. He was a man with many hobbies and many collections, but always took time out for family and friends. He became a Christian at age 13 and later served as a deacon and Sunday School director at Sagemont Church for many years. At the time of his death he was a member of First Baptist Church Humble.

Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maxine; son and daughter-in-law Marcus and Rachel Sevier of Humble, Texas; son, Brett and daughter-in-law Jill of Houston; grandchildren, Amanda Sevier of College Station, Carson Sevier and Caden Sevier of Humble, and Andrew Sevier and Rebecca Sevier of Houston. He is also survived by a brother, Michael and wife Charlotte Sevier of Houston, and their grandson, Wesley Henderson.

Bill will be escorted to his final resting place by pallbearers: Carson Sevier, Caden Sevier, Andrew Sevier, Charles Young, Clarence Schubert, and Joe Dean.
