Wesley Donald Sanders
May 2, 2000 - December 1, 2019

Wesley Donald Sanders, 19 of Lexington, was tragically called home to his Lord to soon on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, from 5 to 7 pm, with a rosary recited at 7 pm, at the Holy Family Catholic Church’s (PAC) Parish Activity Center next to church. The Rosary will begin at 7 pm. A Mass of a Christian burial we be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10:30 am in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington. Father Joy Adimakkeel will officiate with Deacon John Yougn. The burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Dime Box, TX.

Wesley was born in Bryan, Texas on May 2, 2000 to parents Scott Ellis and Joan Elizabeth Sanders. Wesley graduated from Lexington High School in 2018. His passions in high school were sports, Wesley was a part of so many amazing teams and was even able to accomplish a lineman’s dream and score a touchdown in a playoff football game his senior year. He was currently at Texas A&M University pursuing a degree in Business Honors in Mays Business School. He was involved in many organizations including Sophomores Advancing in Leadership (SAIL), Sports for Kids and was a Fish Camp counselor.

Wesley was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Thummel and Edmund Truex.

He is survived by his parents, Scott and Joan Sanders; three sisters, Malissa Phillips and husband Nicholas, Malorie Sanders, and Mari Sanders; future brother-in-law, Cameron Janda; and grandparents, Wesley and Barbara Sanders and Mary Truex.
