Barbara Jean Crow Beeler
Barbara Jean Crow Beeler, age 67, of Crockett, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at home from complications of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Barbara was born on June 12, 1952 in Crockett to parents, Ulrich Wilson Crow Sr. and Hattie Edna Murchison Crow. She graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1970 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in 1973 from Texas Christian University, pledging Kappa Kappa Gamma. This association was especially important to her, yielding a lifetime of sisterhood and friendships. Barbara and George Beeler were married in 1974 making their home in Houston County being involved in numerous charitable organizations over the years. She later received a Master’s Degree in 1979 from Texas A&M University and worked for 39 years as a teacher for Grapeland Elementary.
Barbara is survived by her only child, George Wilbur Beeler, III of Crockett; brother, Ulrich Wilson (Rick) Crow, Jr. of College Station; nephew, John Michael Crow and wife, April of Bryan; niece, Kelly Leigh-Ann Crow of Bryan; great-nephew, Cody Crow of Bryan; sisters-in-law, Mary Blake Beeler Meadows and husband, Chuck of Dallas, Melissa Beeler Daniel and husband, Charles of Victoria; nieces, Mary Blake Vint and husband, James of Lubbock, Meredith Traber and husband, Michael of Katy; nephew, Paul Daniel and wife, Haley of Victoria; great- nieces and great-nephew, Blakely, Brooks, Landry.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George Wilbur Beeler, II and her parents, Ulrich Wilson Crow Sr. and Hattie Edna Murchison Crow.
A celebration of life for Barbara Beeler will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church, 715 E. Goliad, Crockett, Texas 75835 with Rev. Jim Tom Ainsworth and Rev. Tim Oleksy officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spring Creek Country Club Centennial/Pier Fund, P. O. Box 429, Crockett, TX 75835 in memory of Barbara Crow Beeler.
