Robert Arlen Lee, 80, of Tomball, Texas, passed away in the presence and comfort of his loving family on August 28, 2019.
Robert “Bob” was born June 15, 1939 in Rocksprings, Texas to Gettes Fulwood and Loma Rose Lee . Excelling early in life, Bob attained his Eagle Scout at the age of 13. At the time he was one of the youngest in the United States to earn this honor. He graduated
from Sequin High School in 1956 and attended Texas A&M University Class of 1962. Bob was employed in Sears Management, co-owner of Crown Floor Covering, and spent many years as a parts-management expert at Stewart & Stevenson Services. Bob truly had the “gift
of gab”, always looking for the best in individuals, and a silent champion of selfless-service to his family and others. He was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, handyman, loving husband and father, and supporter of Texas A&M University. He loved to travel and
spend time with his wife Sylvia, children and grandchildren whenever he could.
Bob is survived by his wife Sylvia Ann Lee, son and stepsons Barry Lee and his wife Sandra of Murfreesboro, TN, Hunter Lee Hodge of Houston, TX, Loren Richard Hodge of Houston, TX, and daughter Rebecca Lynn Schilling and her husband Frank of San Antonio, TX;
nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his brother John Arthur Lee of Denver, CO; and three nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 3, at Niday Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at 3:00pm at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Madisonville, Texas.
