JOSEPH PAUL KIKER

Joseph Paul Kiker, 78, of Spring, died Friday, September 6, 2019. He was born on September 10, 1940, to Ferrell Wingate Kiker and C.A. “Red” Kiker on Burrell-Wingate Road in Fannett.

Paul graduated from Fannett High School and later from Texas A&M. He had a long professional career in the ag credit, ag chemical, ag trailer-transport and trucking businesses. Paul enjoyed serving in the prison ministry through St. Edward’s Church, Spring and completing woodworking projects, but his main loves were his family and his church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 14512, serving as Lecturer. Paul was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Joyce Ann Royer Kiker of Spring; sons, Aaron Kiker and his wife, Allison, of Spring; Scott Mullarky and his wife, Caitlin, of Madison, WI; and daughter Martha Campbell and her husband James, of Spring; grandchildren, Reese, Heath and Hannah Kiker; Cole (Christi) and Craig Campbell; and Cora, Ada and Cedric Mullarky; brothers Charles (Beverly) of Winnie, Arthur “Buzz” (Dorothy) and Homer (Anita) of Fannett; John (Kay) of Hempstead and sister Kathy Settle of Mertzon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Rosary and gathering of Mr. Kiker’s family and friends will be on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward's Church, 2601 Spring Stuebner Road, in Spring. Later that same day, another gathering of Mr. Kiker’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
