Maxie James Triola
August 11, 1931 - September 1, 2019

Maxie James Triola, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2019 surrounded by family at his home in Ashburn, VA.
Max was born in Stafford, Texas to the late Catherine and Christopher Triolo where he grew up with his late sisters Mary Nicoll and Frances Peterson. Max is survived by his devoted wife of almost 61 years Patricia Jean; son Max James; daughter Margaret Catherine; son William Christopher (Lisa) and grandchildren Maxie James, Marissa Gabrielle and Sarah Nicole.
Max graduated from Texas A&M and took his first job at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, where he met his sweet wife and started their family. Max had a long and successful career with the US Air Force, The US Postal Service, The Department of the Interior, Fannie Mae, Honeywell and RSI before retiring and working as a CIA monitor. The most gratifying part of his life was in the tireless work he dedicated to his community and church.
Max was in Scouting for over 76 years, served as a Knight of Columbus (3rd Degree), and devoted more than 15 years to the Ashburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue (AVFRD), which holds a place of honor in his heart. He is also a founding member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, where he devoted his time and energy to creating a community of Love and Service. Max truly never met a stranger and always had a kind word and a smile for everyone he met.
A wake will be held at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, VA on Sunday, September 8th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 21370 St. Theresa Ln, Ashburn, VA on Monday, September 9th at 10:30 am, followed by interment at Union Cemetery in Leesburg. A reception to celebrate Max’s life will then follow at the Founder’s Hall at the AVFRD.
