Jim Hord
December 5, 1957 - August 5, 2019
Jim Hord, age 61, passed away on August 5, 2019. He was born on December 5, 1957 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He grew up on a farm raising animals and hauling hay in Weatherford, Texas, where he attended school and graduated from high school. He was a proud Aggie and graduated from Texas A&M with the class of 1980, remaining active with the Texas A&M Reveille Club of Houston. Jim married Lisa Whitehead in 1985 and they moved to the Conroe area where he owned his own pool and remodeling company. He and his family were members of First Methodist Conroe. Jim was a loving father and husband who lived his life helping and caring for his family and everyone he met.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William Monroe Hord Jr. and Sarah Catherine Hord. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lisa Hord; daughter, Lori Hord; son and daughter-in-law, Harrison and Tory Hord; and his brothers, Bill and Kenneth Hord.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at First Methodist Conroe, 4308 W Davis, Conroe, Texas 77304. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to First Methodist Conroe.
