Weber, Robert Ewing
January 18, 1930 - June 24, 2019

Robert Ewing (Bob) Weber passed away on June 24, 2019 at the age of 89 following a brief illness. Born on January 18, 1930 to Louis William Weber and Gladys Hayman Weber in Galveston, Texas where he was raised, he graduated in 1951 from Texas A&M University. After meeting the love of his life, Jewell DeVore, in Galveston, they were married on September 6, 1952 and shortly thereafter, he was commissioned as an Armor officer into the U. S. Army. While in service, he was stationed around the world, including France, Korea, Germany, and Vietnam. He earned a master’s degree from West Virginia University and retired in Dallas as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1972. Bob joined the Iowa based Vernon Co. as a sales representative where he had a long and active career, being one of only a few reps to reach the $9 million sales club. He retired from the Vernon Co. in March, 2018.

Bob touched the lives of many – as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, businessman, and devoted friend. He enjoyed golfing, watching Texas Aggie football, and bragging on his children and grandchildren! Above all, his greatest joy was simply spending time with his beloved wife, family, and friends. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jewell; his son, Bill Weber and wife Robin of Waco, TX and their children, Teri and Chris; his daughter, Donna Weber of Farmers Branch, TX; and his daughter, Sandy Muff and husband David of Lubbock, TX and their children Rebecca and Rob.

A visitation and memorial service for Bob will be held from 5:15-6:45 p.m. on July 29th at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas, TX. 75234. A military honors ceremony will be held from 10:45-11:20 a.m. on July 30th at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
