Steven Kyle Lilley
Dec 18, 1959 - Dec 22, 2018

Steven Kyle Lilley went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2018, at the age of 59. He was born in Houston, TX, “right by the San Jacinto monument” as he liked to say, on December 18, 1959, to Claude and Barbara Lilley. He grew up in Pearland and played football at Pearland HS. He was named to the All-District and All-County teams for two years and earned a scholarship to play football at Texas A&M. Kyle was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a BIG Aggie. He went on to build his own vending business after college which gave him lots of opportunity to visit with people, Kyle never met a stranger. He loved giving back to the community and helping those in need. He was an active auction buyer and volunteer at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Kyle loved his Texas heritage and was a member of the Tejas Vaqueros. He rode the Salt Grass Tailride and Ranchers Ride. He was very patriotic and a big supporter of the military.

Kyle was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Lilley. He is survived by his wife, Krysti Lilley, his father Claude Lilley (Martha), his son Trent Lilley, his brother Keith Lilley, his uncle Ronny Burkett and aunt Laurie “Poppie”, nephew Justin Lilley, niece Alyssa Williams (Jonathan), nephew Gavyn Knight, niece Serena Knight, his father-in-law Raymond Knight, mother-in-law Pattie Galle (Burnie), his brother-in-law Graham Knight (Shann), his cousins Lisa Halstrom (John), Toni Detzler (Joe), Kim Bays (Bill), Rusty Burkett (Melissa) and Marcy Guillot and his honorary daughter Stephanie Dean.

Memorial service will be held at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591 on December 27, 2018 with visitation at 1pm and service starting at 2:00.pm. There will be a gathering after the service at Daryl’s Place, 3330 Avenue A, Santa Fe, TX 77510. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude.
