H. Paul Richter
December 15, 1924 - May 22, 2019
H. Paul Richter, 94, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Ennis, Texas.
Paul was born in Ennis, Texas on December 15, 1924 to Hammond Albert and Annie (Williams) Richter. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1942. Paul went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Husbandry from Texas A&M University. On August 31, 1949 Paul married the love of his life Jeanne Miller and they moved to Ennis in 1952. Paul served his country proudly in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater.
Paul spent over fifty years as an Independent Cattle Buyer. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Ennis. Paul enjoyed doing Day Trading in the Stock Market and farming.
He is survived by a son, Karl Richter; daughters: Paula Tucker and husband, Ron and Crissy Richter; five grandchildren: Austin, Dylan, Natalie, Juliana and Madeline; three great-grandchildren: Audrey, Ella and Charlotte along with a host of extended family and friends.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jeanne Richter, two brothers; Glenn and Earl and one sister, Ruth.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
