Angelique G Montes Gaumard
SEPTEMBER 20, 1980 – MAY 15, 2018

Angélique Montes Gaumard was born the 20th of September 1980, in Houston, Texas to Raúl Rene Montes and Madeleine Erquiaga Montes.
She was the first born in the United States from her family and the first grandchild on both sides of the family. After graduating college, she worked as a journalist then became an attorney and started her own law practice in Houston, TX. She prided herself in supporting the less fortunate and always went above and beyond to advocate for them. However, her true passion in life was her love to her husband and daughter.

As a caring mother and a beloved wife, Angelique was known for her strength; her generous personality and her ability to make any stranger instantly feel welcome. She is missed by family, friends and all who have had the opportunity to meet her.

She is survived by her husband Kevin C. Gaumard, her daughter Isabella L. Gaumard Montes, her parents Raúl R. and wife Madeleine E. Montes, her grandmother Georgina Erquiaga, her sister Adrienne T. Montes and husband Steven D. Liebelt and cousins, Jorge R. Montes II, Alejandro M. Montes, Enrique L. Montes and Ryan Thompson.

Mass is to be conducted at ten thirty in the morning on Tuesday, the 22nd of May at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079-6234 and will be followed by a reception at the parish. The family will then gather for a private Rite of Committal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
