April 4, 1955 - March 13, 2019

Resided in Edmond, OK

Arturo “Art” Alarcon passed away peacefully on March 13, 2019. He was born April 4, 1955 in Laredo, Texas to parents, Arturo and Gloria Alarcon. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. He married his lifetime love, Theresa in 1985 and together they raised their three children, Michael, Andrew and Emily.
Art had a long successful career in the petroleum industry, which led him to many different assignments across the world. Most recently, he was working in Midland, Texas for Diamondback Energy as a senior drilling advisor. Art was a loving husband, father, and brother and loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for the outdoors, music and photography. Art never met a stranger and touched the lives of many.
Art is preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Gloria Alarcon, brother-in-law, Jim Hutton, and nephew, Matthew Alan Phillips. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; children, Michael and partner Chelsie Jahansouz; Andrew and his wife Manon; daughter, Emily; sisters, Gloria and Sylvia Alarcon; and godmother and aunt, Grace Hastings.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the Stephenson Cancer in Oklahoma City.
