J.D. Hampton
December 01, 1926 - June 18, 2018

Graveside service for J.D. Hampton will begin at 10:30 A. M. located at Old Dublin Memorial Park Cemetery, on Thursday, June 21, 2018.

J.D. Hampton passed away peacefully on June 18, 2018 in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on December 1, 1926 in Brady, Texas to William George Hampton & Ora Faye (Tatum) Hampton.

J.D. married Velma June Watson on Brady, Texas on February 3, 1951. To this union, they welcomed four children into their family.

J.D. was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He took care of his family, working diligently for the U.S. State Department. He was also a member of the Rotary Club, the D.I.S.D. School Board and the First Baptist Church.

J.D. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Velma, on June 14, 2012.

Left behind to continue his memory are his daughters and sons-in-law - Vickie Hampton-Mitzel & Mark Mitzel of Waco, Texas, Cheryl & Joe Maxwell of Waco, Texas, Bobbie & Sergio Tassinari of King William, Virginia; his son and daughter-in-law - Jeffrey & Ronnie Hampton of Ellijay, Georgia; his sister - Ouita Bratton of Rochelle, Texas; his sister-in-law - Gloria Gilbert of Tyler, Texas; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and other friends & relatives.
