Linnie Jester, Jr.
July 12, 1977 - February 5, 2019

Linnie “Linn” Murl Jester, Jr, age 41, of Linden, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 5, 2019. He was born July 12, 1977, his life best summarized in the following words.

Not how he died, but how did he live?
Not what he gained, but what did he give?
These are the units to measure the worth.
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.
Not what his church was, nor what was his creed?
But had he befriended those really in need?
Was he ever ready, with a word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?
Not what he did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when he passed away.

Linnie is survived by his life partner, Amy Barton of San Antonio, TX; parents, Linnie Sr. and Kathleen Jester of Richardson, TX; sister and brother in law, Lori Beth and Mike McElroy of Richardson, TX; nephew, Andrew McElroy of Richardson, TX; grandmother, Hazel Hagin of Atlanta, Texas; uncle and aunt, Gerry and Marsha Hagin of Austin, TX; aunt, Eva Hill of Queen City, TX; first cousins, Zach Hagin, Courtney Jester Morrison, Trae Jester; and a number of other cousins. More friends than most people would know in a lifetime, a testimony of the man he was.

A memorial service is planned at a later date.
