April 12, 1955 - February 16, 2019
Robert "Bob" G. Sharp Jr., age 63, of Bristol, VA passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019.
He was born on April 12, 1955 in San Augustine, TX to the late Robert and Mary Beth Sharp. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Sharp and father-in-law, William Rogers Head. Bob was a 1977 graduate of Texas A&M University, loving husband and father, and faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Bristol, VA..
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 36 years, Sue H. Sharp; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Lisa Sharp of San Augustine, TX; son, Bret Sharp of Bristol, VA; daughter, Katy Sharp of Atlanta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Morgan and Drew Griffin of Macon, GA; and three very loved grandchildren, Kyle, Ava Kate, and Olivia Griffin of Macon, GA. He is also survived by best friends Eddie and Alison Pruett; many special brothers and sisters-in-law; and a devoted mother-in-law, Alice' Head.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bristol, VA. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Pedro Orlando Salazar officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Backpack Program, 320 Carter Street, Bristol, VA 24201.
