Janet Lynn (Vanden Bosch) Wilson
Born: October 23, 1962
Died: January 19, 2019
Location: San Antonio, Texas

Janet Lynn (Vanden Bosch) Wilson; loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt; flew into Jesus' arms on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the age of 56, following a sudden illness.

Janet was raised in Kingsville, Texas, where she lived until her family moved to Portland, Texas her junior year of high school. After high school graduation she attended Texas A&M University for three years and finished her bachelor's degree at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She began her business career at Macy's Department Store. She later worked for Dillard's Department Store in several management positions until her retirement. To those who truly knew her, she was a wonderful mix of sugar and steel.

Janet loved her Aggies and her Astros. She loved traveling with her husband, enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, was a voracious reader and an admirer of classic films. She also loved music and had an angelic soprano singing voice. Her family rests in the knowledge that she is a first soprano with a heavenly chorus, singing alongside her in-laws and other loved ones who have gone before her.

Janet previously battled and won the war over two primary cancers, and was a proud cancer survivor.

Janet is survived by her high school sweetheart husband of 35 years, John Wilson, her parents Fred and Mary Vanden Bosch, and one sibling, Beth Mathis (Dow), two sisters-in-law Peggy Wilson Rabe and Janis Wilson Brock (David), one brother-in law Charlie Wilson (Debbie), nephews and nieces Lane Hillje, Declan Mathis, Cory Brock (Paula), Kirby Brock, Wayne Rabe(Anna), Shyla Rabe (Tony), Mallory Marcontell(Marc), and several great-nephews and great-nieces, as well as two aunts, two uncles, and three cousins. She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Charles and Margaret Wilson, whom she adored. She will be dearly missed by her family members, friends, and colleagues.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00pm, at the Boerne First United Methodist Church, 205 E. James, Street, Boerne, Texas 78006, with a reception to follow.

A private committal will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance at ocrahope.org .
