Our beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Great-Great Grandfather, Joe C. Cantu went home to the Lord on January 23, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born on January 5, 1928 to Guadalupe and Rosa Cantu in San Juan, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Oralia Cantu Rodriguez and Ophelia Cantu Kidder.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Amparo Arizpe Cantu; his loving children, Nancy Cantu, Jerry Cantu, and Joe Michael Cantu; Grandchildren, Bryan Martinez, Marshall Cantu, Marisa Knight, and Madison Cantu; Great Grandchildren, Jason Martinez, Ashlee Martinez, Devon Martnez, Sophia Martinez, and David Cantu Picado; and Great- Great Grandchildren, Oliver Martinez and Violet Martinez. He will be missed dearly by his family, relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church. Funeral Service will begin on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi Marian.

Reception following interment will be at the St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church Parish Hall.
