Mahaney, Carol Stevenson
April 22, 1955 - January 5, 2019
Carol, Class of '82, passed away on January 5, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on April 22, 1955 in Bryan, TX to her parents John and Margery (Mimi) Stevenson. Carol was born an Aggie, raised an Aggie, and carried the Aggie spirit with her
always. Her passion was teaching. She taught middle school for over 26 years in Bryan and Santa Fe, TX. It pleased her most when she learned one of her students was attending Texas A&M University. As it should, since her grandmother Evelyn Crawford Locke was
the first woman to graduate from Texas A&M University in 1925.
Carol is survived her husband of 38 years Bob Mahaney; her mother Margery "Mimi" Stevenson, her son, David Hall and wife Lynette, three brothers and their wives, Johnny and DeDe Stevenson, Greg Stevenson and Betsy Hansberry, Bill and Beverly Stevenson. Most
special to Carol, she is survived by two grandchildren Elena and Noah Hall.
Carol chose cremation with no formal service. In lieu of any flowers, any memorials can be sent to the Texas A&M Association of Former Students.
