Frank "Biff" L. Alexander, III
July 25, 1957 - January 12, 2019

Born July 25, 1957, the second child of Marjorie and Frank L. Alexander, Jr., he was christened Frank L. Alexander, III. He was and will forever be known simply as Biff. He passed away peacefully on January 12, 2019.

He was a proud graduate of Seguin High School, class of 1975, and a star member of the SHS golf team. It was because of those skills as a champion golfer that Biff was offered and accepted a scholarship to become part of the Aggie family as a student-athlete golfer for Texas A&M. He was part of the A&M graduating class of 1979.

Following his years in College Station, Biff returned to his home town of Seguin and went into the golf business as an assistant at Max Starcke Park Golf Course. In lieu of the retirement of head pro, Sam Moore in 1981, Biff would assume the head professional spot himself. Over the next 35 years, his life consisted of golf lessons, tournaments and overseeing one of the finest municipal golf courses in the state for the City of Seguin until his own retirement in October of 2016.

Biff Alexander was more than an Aggie and golfer. He was a friend to countless number of people in and around the Seguin area. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoor life. In the early 1980’s, he enjoyed hunting and camping out with friends at the Top Hand ranch in Belmont. Several years later, his hunting shifted to the Rockin M ranch in Pawnee courtesy of friends David Mueller and Glenn Hild. The past few years found Biff and lifelong friend, Frank Hurt, hunting and working livestock at Frank’s ranch in Dewville. Biff was a loving husband to Ellen and a caring son as witnessed by the love and care he gave his mother and father in their final days.

Marjorie Lois Pogorzelski Alexander and Frank Louis Alexander, Jr. preceded their son in death. He is survived by his beautiful wife Ellen; siblings Roxanne Alexander, Lisa Rinn and husband Phil, Brett L. Alexander and Quint Alexander and wife Stacey. Also surviving Biff are Aunt Dorothy Wille and nieces and nephews Dana, Roth, Nikki, JC, Jack, Kurt, Collin and Reid along with great niece Devyn. Beyond his immediate family, Biff will also be remembered and loved by a Seguin community that will miss him forever. Gig Em!
