Jason Douglas Carter
February 18, 1971 - January 06, 2019

Jason Douglas Carter

Jason Douglas Carter, formerly of Frisco, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2019 in Edna, Texas at the age of 47 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with esophageal cancer.

Jason was a Godly man and lifelong, faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Throughout his life, he served in various capacities at his local churches: youth minister, deacon, Sunday school teacher, youth worker, and campus response team. What most people will recall about Jason is his quick wit, brilliant mind, and love for his family. Not to be forgotten were his ever-present Dr. Pepper (or Diet Dr. Pepper) and Green Lantern and Aggie rings.

Jason was born in Denton, Texas on February 18, 1971, to the late Terry Don Carter and Teddie Carroll Montgomery. Jason was a loving husband, father, and friend who will be dearly missed. Jason is survived by his wife, of 26 years, Kelly Roman Carter; his sons, Jonathan Kent Carter, Christopher Evan Carter, Roberto Tomas Carter, and Oscar Roman Carter; his mother; and his brother, Matthew Ryan Carter. Jason was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Jordan Lee Carter.

Celebrations of Life will be held at Preston Trail Community Church in Frisco, Texas on Thursday, January 17 at 7:00 pm, and at First Baptist Church, Edna, Texas on Saturday, January 26 at 10:30 am. Memorials or donations can be made to Embrace Texas or Golden Crescent CASA, both, which support Foster and Adoptive families, or Donor’s choice.
