Gary Kenton Clark
March 18, 1984 - December 17, 2018

Gary Kenton Clark was born to James and Sandra Clark on March 18, 1984 in Casper, Wyoming. At age 8 his family moved to League City, Texas where he attended Clear Creek schools. In 2002, he entered Texas A&M University and was a member of the Corps of Cadets in Company I-1. He graduated as the proudest member of the Fighting Texas Aggie class of 2006 with a degree in Forestry. While at A&M, he met the love of his life, Jennifer, at the Dixie Chicken after the UT/A&M game in 2003. They married in 2007, the same year he was commissioned into the US Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. Over the next 9 years, they lived in Colorado Springs, CO; Augusta, GA; Killeen, TX and Greenville, SC. He served two tours of combat in Afghanistan with the 4th Infantry Division and 1st Cavalry Division. He and Jennifer have two daughters, Allison Kendal born in 2011 and Kaitlyn Sue born in 2015. He left the Army in 2016 as a Captain at which time he and his family moved back to Texas.

Gary was a charismatic man whose smile and laugh could brighten anyone's day. He loved with his whole heart and would always make you feel welcomed. The thing that he held most dear was his family, especially his girls. He was a born leader who lent himself to anyone in his charge.

Gary went home to our Lord on December 17, 2018. He is survived by his wife Jennifer and daughters Allison & Kaitlyn; father, Jim Clark; brothers James Burd & wife Michelle and Robert Burd & wife Sara; sister Jennifer Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandi Clark.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a scholarship fund being set up in his memory at Texas A&M. The link is https://squareup.com/store/I-1-Association?fbclid=IwAR0-3vbukJJ3xmFF8IL5WNnHjy-4_zU--8lJRaL2x3PacEl4yKrD7yNeWH8.
