Jack Rogers McCrary, Jr.
November 06, 1963 - January 03, 2019

A funeral service for Jack Rogers McCrary, Jr. will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Thad Carter and Rev. Tim Turner. Interment at Woodley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at Downs Funeral Home.

Jack Rogers McCrary, Jr. 55, of Elysian Fields, TX. passed away on January 3, 2019. Mr. McCrary was born November 6, 1963 in Marshall, TX. to his parents, Jack Rogers McCrary, Sr. and Mary Jane Jay McCrary. Jack and Delores McCrary united in marriage on July 7, 2006 in Marshall, TX. Mr. McCrary served in the United States Army. He worked for KCS for 15 years and was an equipment manager at Select. He was also a TX State manager for Holtger Brothers.

Mr. McCrary was a true aggie; he graduated from Texas A&M in 1986. He was a member of Corps of Cadets Squadron 6 “Flying Tigers”. And a member of the Parsons Mounted Cavalry. He served as a “Brown Pot” with the “Fightin’ Texas Aggie Bonfire.”

Jack was a member of the Masonic Waskom Lodge #1254 A.F. & A.M he served as a Worshipal master. He had a lot of hobbies including, duck hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, camping and motorcycle riding.

Mr. McCrary is survived by his mother, Mary Jane McCrary; wife, Deloras McCrary; son, J.W. McCrary; grandson, Dylon Parsons; step-son, Charles Parsons; sister, Mary Edith McCrary; beloved niece, Jaycee Schell and husband, Brandon Schell. Also left to cherish his memory are several cousins and extended family members.

Mr. McCrary is preceded in death by his father, Jack R. McCrary, Sr.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that any donations be made to Shriners or Bethel Methodist Church.
