Robert "Bob" Ingrum Bradford
JULY 29, 1930 – NOVEMBER 22, 2018
Robert (Bob) Ingrum Bradford of Dallas, Texas, passed away November 22, 2018. He was born July 29, 1930, the son of Raymond Moore Bradford and Adine Stuckey Bradford. Bob grew up in Atlanta, TX, where he was one of the first four Eagle Scouts and a member of the Order of the Arrow. In high school, Bob excelled in academics and athletics. He played varsity football, basketball and ran track, receiving all district honors for football and track. Bob attended the Agriculture and Mechanical College of Texas (TAMU). He received a walk-on scholarship for football his freshman year. Bob earned his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Tau Beta Pi.
A kinder, gentler man has never walked the earth and walk the earth he did! With immense courage and an adventurous spirit, Bob left everything he knew behind to venture into the unknown and start his life as a young adult and recent college grad, in Quiriquire, Venezuela. His long career as a petroleum engineer with Creole - Esso - EPR took him from the woods of East Texas to the jungles of South America (Colombia and Venezuela) and later to Europe, the Middle and Far East, Canada and just about everywhere in between!
In our grief, we are shaken to the core with sadness, but all the things he taught us live on - in his kids and grandkids and great-grandkids - his adventurous spirit, love of food and friends, martinis and music.
Bob is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Biddie Bradford, to whom he was deeply devoted. Both were very fortunate to have found each other after the passing of their first spouses, Mickey Lou Bradford and Benjamin Franklin Terry, respectively.
Bob’s children are his son, Robert Bradford (deceased), his daughter, Lea Ann Bradford and husband John O’Connor, and son Ray Bradford and wife Nancy Bradford, three grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. Bob is also dearly loved by his step-family, Mike Terry and wife Mary Terry, David Terry (deceased), and Julie Mills and husband Jim Mills, nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Our families would like to thank the caregivers who so lovingly attended to his every need.
Memorial service is 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, 75225. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesleyan Fellowship Class, Highland Park United Methodist Church, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75205.
