Bill West Lee was born October 24, 1930, in Lingleville, Texas. He grew up in Stephenville. While attending Texas A&M, he met and married Charlotte Ann Winter in 1953. They had a son, Charlton, and a daughter, Michelle. He earned a BBA and an MBA in accounting from Texas A&M by 1960. After college, he was an Audit Supervisor for Coopers Lybrand in Dallas for 8 years. He became a CPA in 1963. In 1968, he began his career with Mobil Oil, moving up in the company and living all over the world. His various positions with Mobil were first in Dallas, then Calgary, London and The Hague, Netherlands. In 1980, he was appointed comptroller of Mobil Oil and lived in Medan and Jakarta, Indonesia. He then moved to Leiden, Netherlands, and then on to Jeddah, where he retired as Vice President of Finance for Mobil Oil Saudi Arabia in 1995. He returned to Texas to be close to family. He split his time between his homes in Richardson and Granbury, where he could watch over his mother, Gladys, and brother, Vance. He was a very loyal son and cared for his mother until she died in 2005. Bill was loved dearly by his family and is survived by his daughter, Michelle Thompson and her husband Ken, his son, Charlton Lee and his wife, Sara and his granddaughter, Charlotte. His sister-in-law, Millie Blalock, niece, Glenna Orsburn and family. Visitation will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Saturday, November 17th, from 12pm-3pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17th, at 3pm, in the Northwest Highway Chapel in Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
