Lauretta "Laurie" Hoelscher
January 15, 1968 - November 16, 2018

Lauretta “Laurie” Hoelscher, 50, of Westphalia, died Friday, November 16, 2018, at a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev Edwin Kagoo and Rev. Darrell Kostiha officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.

Mrs. Hoelscher was born January 15, 1968 in Irving to Donald and Rosalie Palazola Jensen. She graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving in 1986 and from Texas A&M University in 1990. She married Scott Hoelscher on November 30, 1991. She was a kindergarten teacher for the Rosebud-Lott ISD for the past 27 years. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia where she was a lector and sang in the choir. She enjoyed spending time with family and was dedicated to the teaching profession and her students.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Hoelscher of Westphalia, two sons, Paden Hoelscher and Nathaniel Hoelscher both of Westphalia. Her parents, Donald and Rosalie Jensen of Irving, two sisters, Gracemary Mannion of Mansfield and Denise Jensen Smith of Carrollton

Memorials may be made to Rosebud-Lott Elementary School Library, P.O. Box 638, Rosebud, TX 76570 or the Church of the Visitation, 144 CR 3000, Lott, TX 76656.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, with Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at the Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
