Randall M. Rosenbaum
August 19, 1963 - November 13, 2018

Randall Martin Rosenbaum, 55, went home to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. His passing came after months of surgeries. Though he fought courageously to live, he is now walking with his loved ones and Jesus in Heaven. Randall continued to rely on the strength and love of the Lord to sustain him through his last months on earth.

Randall was born to Robert and Betty Rosenbaum of Port Arthur, TX, on August 19, 1963. He spent the majority of his childhood and early 20’s in Bryan/College Station, TX, where he met the love of his life, Arla. Randall attend Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Building Construction in 1986.

Randall married Arla on June 7, 1986, in Terrell, TX, and they were blessed with 32 years of marriage. Randall was also an incredible father to two children, Emily and Seth. Their family enjoyed Saturday and Sunday mornings full of current event banter, laughter, biblical insights, and dreams of the future. Randall made sure his children learned to love the great outdoors, taking every opportunity to bring his family hunting at the deer lease. He instilled many lessons from checking the oil in your car regularly, properly opening and closing a pocket knife, standing firm in your beliefs, to not apologizing for who God made you to be.

Randall loved to solve a problem no matter the size. Whether tinkering in his garage with a small project or putting together plans at work for a highway bridge, he worked wholeheartedly at it. There was never a point in doing anything “half-way” for Randall. This work ethic is one of many traits he instilled in his children and anyone who worked near him.

Randall is survived by his wife, Arla; his daughter, Emily; his son, Seth; his mother, Betty; his brother, Richard and his wife, LuAnn; his nephew Robert and his wife, Brandi; his nephew, John, and his son, Nathan; his uncle Byron Jarratt; his aunt, Irma Jarratt; his mother-in-law, Sandra White; his sister-in-law Stephanie and her husband, Darren; his niece, Meili; his brother-in-law, Matt and his wife, Stacy; his uncle Jim Lassiter, and his wife, Sandy; and a what would appear to be a million and one beloved cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert; his father-in-law, Arlie White; his paternal grandparents, Seth and Maude Rosenbaum; his aunt Betty Scott; his maternal grandparents, Bennie and Beth Jarratt; and his uncle Bennie Jarratt.

Randall’s graveside service is in Little Vine Cemetery in Lamar County, TX, on November 17, 2018, at 2:00 pm. There will be a memorial service at First Baptist Georgetown on Monday, November 19, 2018, at 3:00 pm. Pastor Kevin Ueckert along with others will be leading the celebration of Randall’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made in Randall’s memory to Makarios International and/or Grace Academy of Georgetown.
