Paige Allen Stasney

Paige A. Stasney was born February 3, 1942 and went to by with his Lord and Savior on November 6, 2018. He was born in Baytown, Texas to parents, Floyd Augustus Stasney and Huntice Velie (née Evans) Stasney.

He attended Baytown schools, graduating from Lee High School in 1960. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1964. He joined the Peace Corps to serve in Peru, returning to Texas A&M in 1967 to study for his Master’s degree and PhD. He had a career in civil service in Gonzales, Texas and Portland, Texas, then launched his multinational business in recycling. He spent his years in retirement in Rockport enjoying fishing, woodworking and spending time with his friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughters Audra Kerr and husband Kelly Kerr; Jennifer Benes and husband Lance Benes; Leslie Mahan and husband Kelly Mahan; Pamela Stasney; his grandchildren Frank Harrison Benes, Sam Benes, Hayden Kerr and Ashley Mahan. As well, he is survived by his wife MaryAnn Stasney, her daughters Charlotte Roemer and Randy Roemer; Cheryl Moser and Harvey Moser and their children Jeremiah Moser and Cole Roemer.

He will be remembered in a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the ALS Association at www.alsa.org.
