Jackson Kidd Duncan went to be with our heavenly Father on November 2, 2018. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday November 7, 2018 at the Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home at 5921 Yorktown Boulevard, Corpus Christi, Texas 78414. Services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home, 5921 Yorktown Boulevard, Corpus Christi, Texas 78414. The family will receive friends at a reception in celebration of Jackson’s life immediately following the services at the home of Dave Resendez, 8702 King Ranch Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78414.

Jackson was born December 17, 1993 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is the son of Scott Jackson Duncan and Margaret Anne Kidd. He grew up in Corpus Christi and attended Incarnate Word Academy from Kindergarten thru 10th grade and graduated from Gregory Portland High School. He attended and graduated from Texas A&M, College Station. At Incarnate Word Academy and Texas A&M Jackson formed relationships with his classmates that were precious and dear to him which lasted until his passing. Jackson was employed in the product development department at Magnum Oil Tools International, LTD. Jackson was very proud of the work he did for Magnum and enjoyed his relationships with his coworkers.

Jackson will be remembered as a very loved son, brother, and a good and trusted friend to his many friends and coworkers. Outside of the pursuit of his work, Jackson was an avid reader and talented writer. From an early age Jackson loved to read and he enjoyed travelling. Jackson had traveled over the years to visit his cousins when they lived in Africa and Europe. He had also visited China and seen the Great Wall and much of Central America. He also had visited Peru and seen Machu Pichu. Jackson enjoyed the outdoors and the peace and tranquility of nature.

Jackson is survived by his Mom, Margaret Anne Kidd, his Dad Scott Jackson Duncan, his step mom Gladys Genoveva Duncan and his beloved sister Alison Smallwood Duncan. Jackson loved his younger sister very much and we know he will be with her always watching over her from heaven above. Jackson is also survived by his Maternal Grandparents, Robert and Marion Kidd (Seabrook) and his many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jackson’s memory can be made to the Incarnate Word Academy Corpus Christi, Texas Scholarship Fund or the charity of your choice.

Jackson Kidd Duncan, 24, of Corpus Christi and Houston, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 2nd, 2018. Born in Corpus Christi on December 17, 1993 to Margaret Kidd and Scott Duncan, he arrived in this life early and left us early. Jackson attended Incarnate Word Academy and Gregory Portland HS in Corpus Christi. He graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station, in May 2017, where he obtained a B.S. in Economics.
Jackson was an avid reader who thrived learning about the world. He satisfied his curiosity through travel and visits abroad with family. He was a gifted writer, movie-goer, and lover of nature. Jackson was a deep thinker who managed to bring information away from opinion, seeking inclusion over divisiveness. The memory of Jackson's peaceful and gentle nature will accompany those he left behind.
Jackson is survived by his mother Margaret Kidd of Houston; father Scott, step mother Gladys, and sister Alison Duncan of Corpus Christi. He leaves his maternal grandparents Robert and Marian Kidd of Seabrook as well as loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends: Isabella, Lillian, Francesco, Robert, Sophie, Juliann, Evan, Daniel, Byron, Laddie, and Dan.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 8th at 11 a.m. at the Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home on 5921 Yorktown Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX. His family and friends will also celebrate his life in Houston on Saturday November 10th. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the Evelyn Meador Library in Seabrook, TX or the U of H Creative Writing Program.
