WILBUR S. STANFORD, JR. 1916-2008 Wilbur S. Stanford, Jr., recently of San Marcos (formerly of Marble Falls, Houston, and native of Pennsylvania, passed peacefully into God's presence on Saturday, February 16 with his family by his side. Wib joins his beloved wife and dance partner, Ruth, who died in January of 2004. He is survived by his son Bill and granddaughters Lexi, Ariel, and Tori, and his son Ken with his wife Theresa and grand-children Amy, Matthew, and Justin. He is also survived by his sisters Betty Marx, Eleanor Pietro, and Doris Eaton all of the Beaver Falls, PA. Wib was a true gentleman of the "greatest gen- eration" and served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the Army Air Corp in England during World War II. Services will be Saturday, February 23rd at 11 AM at First Presbyterian Church, San Marcos, TX. For more information, contact Thomason Funeral Home, 512-396-2300.
