Robert Matthew Murray
DECEMBER 18, 1971 – OCTOBER 24, 2018

Robert Matthew “Matt” Murray (46) was born on December 18, 1971 in Wilmington, Delaware. He was the youngest of three children born to Bob and Lydia Murray. He graduated from Clear Lake High School and went on to Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where he pledged Kappa Alpha fraternity, studied Animal & Poultry Science and loved “doing research” at the Dixie Chicken. He is part of the Aggie fighting class of 1994. In 2000, he married the love of his life, Pamela Nimmo. They were blessed with four children: Connor Wyatt, Cade Wilson, Cash Walker and Chloe Wynn. Matt worked at Medical Alliance, Ethicon, Boston Scientific, , W.L. Gore, Osprey and McKinney Buick GMC throughout his career.

Matt loved everything about baseball. He found great joy in coaching his son’s teams. He loved his family. Each of his children will tell you he rarely missed any of their activities. He enjoyed traveling with his family, dancing, Aggie Football, concerts, vacations at the beach, game nights, movies, Diet Coke (the huge size from McDonald’s or Whataburger), date nights with Pam and country music. He had a great love for animals and the outdoors, especially water fowl hunting with his best friend, General (Labrador retriever). Fishing was a peaceful, passion that he and Pam shared and enjoyed with their kids.

Matt taught his children to always do their best. He was invested in their lives and encouraged them in so many ways. He was their rock. He and Connor (16) shared a love for baseball. They dreamed many dreams together, worked out together and both were history buffs. Matt’s passion lives on in Connor. Matt and Cade (12) also enjoyed baseball together, liked to Motor Cross and build things. Matt’s heart to help others lives on in Cade. Matt and his third son, Cash (10), enjoyed intellectual talks, playing video games and putting together Legos. Matt’s curiosity lives on in Cash. Matt’s daughter and his princess, Chloe (8), enjoyed that bond that only a daughter and her dad share. They played games, watched movies and loved to dance and sing together. Matt’s playfulness lives on in Chloe.

More than anything Matt loved spending time with his family! He leaves behind a family who looks forward to seeing him once again in heaven: wife, Pam; sons, Connor, Cade & Cash; daughter, Chloe; mother, Lydia Murray; sister, Krista Murray Elmer (Chris); brother, Todd Murray (Gracie); nieces, Meagan Kamra, Jordan Richey, Meredith Murray, Elizabeth Murray, Madelyn Joiner and Kennan Joiner; nephews, Zach Elmer, Brandon Richey and Hayden Joiner; extended family, in-laws and countless friends. Matt’s dad, Bob Murray, met him at heaven’s gate.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, 2018, 1:00-3:00pm. The memorial service will begin at 3:00pm. A reception will immediately follow the service. All will be at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church located at 4000 Midway Road in Carrollton, Texas 75007, www.princeofpeace.org.
