Terry Lee Bleck
MAY 22, 1954 – OCTOBER 17, 2018

Terry Lee Bleck, 64, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on October 17, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Kansas, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Terry Lee was born on May 22, 1954, in Odessa, TX, to Freddie and Dorothy Bleck. Terry was a football star graduating from Bell High School in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1972. Following high school, he proudly attended and graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in food science and remained an Aggie through and through. After college Terry moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, and began his 30-year career with Nestle, USA.

On August 6, 1983, Terry married Lynn, and they resided in St. Joseph with her daughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth. One year later, the family moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa, following Terry’s career. In January 1985, Lynn and Terry welcomed their daughter, Kathryn Ann Bleck, into their family.

In 2004 Terry and Lynn relocated with Nestle to Lincoln, Nebraska. Upon Lynn’s retirement from teaching in 2011, they moved to Overland Park, Kansas. Terry retired from Nestle in 2013. He then started a new chapter in his career as an SAP consultant with Vesta from May 2013 to the present.

Terry enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing, reading, music, playing bridge and being an avid sports fan – of course, Aggie football and Royals baseball topped his list. Despite spending most of his life living outside of Texas, Terry was a true Texan. He spent endless hours working his family ranch in Llano, Texas.

Terry was passionate about his family and making sure everyone in his life was enjoying the day as much as he was. He was a loving husband, father, and the best grandpa a kid could ever imagine.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Bleck and sister, Laura Bleck. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Bleck of Overland Park; daughters, Kathryn Bleck of Lee’s Summit, Jennifer Cisar (Patrick) of Overland Park, and Elizabeth Lindner (Joshua) of Pittsboro, Indiana; seven grandchildren; his mother, Dorothy Shipp; sisters, Rhonda Aulick (Jack) and Aurore Bleck; along with many adoring nieces, nephews, and grand dogs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider memorials made in Terry’s name to Metro Lutheran Ministries or City Union Mission.
