Lee was born on April 14, 1946 in Hearne, Texas, to Lee A. Robertson Sr. and Dorothy Jean (Reynolds) Robertson. He is preceded in death by his parents. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Peggy; son Lee A. (Cole) Robertson III and wife Robyn of Dallas; daughter Casey Jo Robertson Chapman and husband Jeffery of Houston; and son Cody Robertson of Baytown; grandchildren Lee IV, James and Claire Robertson all of Dallas; brothers James Robertson and wife Deborah and Donald Robertson; many loving nephews, niece, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, father-in-law, an aunt, uncles and cousins; a dedicated group of Tuesday morning breakfast friends; and his faithful yellow lab Ty.

Lee graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in 1974 where he was a member of the National Championship Rugby Team. He is a lifelong Baytown resident who attended Ashbel Smith Elementary School, Cedar Bayou Junior School and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Lee was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Lee served our country during Vietnam in the United States Coast Guard; was a Texas Game Warden; a part-time Chambers County Sheriff Deputy and Precinct 3 Constable; and retired from ExxonMobil in Baytown.

Lee served his family, friends and community in many ways including as a faithful member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee; Curt’s Kitchen Volunteer; U.M. ARMY adult leader; volunteering at the kids’ schools; and Meals on Wheels meal deliverer. He was a past president of the Baytown Texas A&M Club; member of the Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation; Chairman of the Baytown Go-Texan Committee; member of the Houston Rodeo Calf Scramble Arena Committee; Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Lifetime Committeeman; and the Brindle Bull BBQ cook-off team. Lee loved coaching his own children, while encouraging many young Baytown residents and serving in leadership positions in several Baytown baseball little leagues, Baytown Teenage Baseball Association, Baytown Youth Soccer Association, YMCA basketball, Baytown Girls Softball, the Baytown Optimist Youth Football League and as an always committed dance stage dad. After his own children had outgrown their playing days, he continued to be a soccer and baseball official in both youth and high school leagues.

An avid outdoorsman, Lee loved to fish and never missed an opening weekend of dove or deer season.

Above all else, Lee loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite times were coaching his kids in sports; watching his kids and grandkids play sports; hunting and fishing with family and friends; going to Texas A&M University sporting events; and cooking a big BBQ meal, fish fry or crawfish boil for everyone around.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask for memorial donations to be made to U.M. Army (www.umarmy.org) and Texas EquuSearch (www.texasequusearch.com).
