Fred Wayne Dobson passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his home in San Angelo, Texas.
Fred was born on May 2, 1925 on the family farm near Eola. Texas to Roy and Mattie Dobson.
He graduated from San Angelo High School and attended Texas A&M College. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army Air Corp. The majority of his time in the Army Air Corp. was served in training as a flight engineer in B-17's and
B-29's. After the war he returned to Texas A&M College and was always a proud Aggie.
Fred married Clara Ransom at the First Presbyterian Church in San Angelo, Texas in 1947. They were married for 62 years. Clara passed away in 2009. He operated the family farm at Vick and Eola, Texas for many years. He also operated the family ranch in Crockett
County, Texas until 2013. After retirement, he and Clara moved to Rio Concho West in San Angelo where he made many friends and enjoyed playing dominoes.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Louise Dobson Lathram and her husband Burton Lathram, his son Dempster W. Dobson and his wife Lesley Ann, grandson Zachery Dobson, granddaughter, Katy Dobson, and great grandchildren Taylor and Samantha Dobson. He was also
a Mason.
There will be a Memorial Service on November 10, 2018 at 11 AM at First Presbyterian Church in San Angelo, Texas.
