Colin David Risinger
January 4, 1983 - September 30, 2018

Colin David Risinger was born on January 4, 1983 in Houston, Texas to David Alton Risinger and Mary Elizabeth Zabcik. He passed away on September 30, 2018 at the age of 35.

Colin truly lived his life to the fullest in those 35 years. He was avid sports fan, especially when it came to baseball and his favorite college team, the Texas Aggies. He enjoyed being active himself and loved participating in marathons. Colin was a graduate of Texas A&M University, and belonged to Toastmasters International and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

On May 8, 2010, Colin married Cherie Anise Ward in Houston, Texas. They celebrated 8 years of marriage together and have two beautiful children. The Risingers have called Fulshear, Texas home for the past four years. Colin had a great love for the Lord and was very involved in activities at their home church, Kingsland Baptist Church. Colin’s family misses him tremendously and is so very thankful for the love and support they’ve received during this difficult time.

Colin is survived by his wife, Cherie Risinger of Fulshear, Texas; children, C. J. Risinger and Avery Risinger; parents, David and Elizabeth Risinger of Houston, Texas; sister, Melanie Risinger of Washington, D.C.; in-laws, Steve Ward and wife, Debbie, of Cypress, Texas; brother-in-law, Stephen Ward; and sister-in-law, Candace Ward.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas with Rev. Brad Flurry officiating.
