Victor Paul Berglund
February 16, 1955 - September 26, 2018

Victor Paul Berglund, age 63, passed away on September 26th, 2018 in Round Rock, Texas with his loving wife by his side. Victor was born on February 16th, 1955 to Elberta Mae and Billy Penrod Berglund in Seattle, Washington. At 3 months old his parents, homesick native Texans, flew him to Texas where they baptized him in the Gulf of Mexico off of Matagorda Island. He was the eldest of 3 brothers.

He met his future wife, Carol Ann Marx Berglund at Friendswood High School in 1972. He graduated in 1973 as Valedictorian of his class and went on to Texas A&M to study Electrical Engineering. He and Carol started dating in 1974 and they were married in August 1976 at Friendswood United Methodist Church. Victor and Carol both graduated Texas A&M in 1977 with their bachelors. Victor put in another year and earned his Masters in 1978. Victor's first job after college was at TRW in California as a Satellite Communication Engineer. In 1982, Victor and Carol welcomed their first child, Daniel Christopher Berglund who was shortly followed by a daughter Lauren Elizabeth Berglund, in 1983. The family moved back to Texas soon after and welcomed their 3rd and final child, Joseph Paul (Zhang) Berglund in 1985.

Victor is survived by his wife, three children, and one grandchild, Gordon Zhang Berglund. He is also survived by his brothers Keith and David, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Victor is well known for his intelligence, but is well loved for his kindness, generosity, and love of God and family.
