L. E. Perkins, Jr.
September 20, 1927 - October 4, 2018

L.E. Perkins, Jr, 91, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at The Gables, surrounded by family.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Berncie (Glen) and Loyd Earl Perkins, L.E. was born on September 20, 1927, in Olney, Texas. He graduated from Olney High School in 1945 and from Texas A&M University in 1950 with a bachelor’s degree in Business. L. E. served in the Army Air Corps from 1945-46, when he was honorably discharged. He was an independent oil operator owning Shangri’La Oil Company until the time of his death. L. E. (Perk) was well known in the oilfield as a hardworking man of strong integrity whose word was his bond. He lived by the principles of God, Family and Country. He was devoted to his wife and family, and loved working on his Throckmorton ranch. L. E. attended Texoma Cowboy Church.

Along with his parents, L.E. was also preceded in death by his wife; Rex Ann Ward Perkins in 1957; his daughter, LeAnn Perkins; and his brother, Cecil Bryan Perkins.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Sally Perkins; son, Thomas R. Perkins and wife Kathy; daughter, Cynthia Dickerson; daughter Sarah Fidlar and husband, Kent; granddaughter, Jennifer Locke and husband, Chad; grandsons, Tommy Perkins and wife, Estela; and David Dickerson and wife, Nicole; granddaughter, Dianna Dickerson and Clint; and grandsons, Austin Fidlar and wife, Sydney; and Ryan Fidlar; 9 great grandchildren; and his sister Evelyn Die.
