Larry James Dziuk of Houston, died on Friday, September 14, 2018, after a long illness. He was born October 3, 1946 in Kenedy to Jerome Joseph and Rosalie (Manka) Dziuk. He graduated from Karnes City High School in 1965 and earned his Master's Degree from Texas A&M University and Ph.D. from Mississippi State University. He specialized in pesticide toxicology in both graduate programs. The knowledge he gained in graduate school was applied to evaluating health effects in industrial workers and/or members of the general public as a result of exposure to pesticides and many other chemical substances. The results of the human health evaluations were used by corporations and state/federal governments to determine the need for implementing guidelines regulating the exposure to the chemical agents. His job took us to Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Mexico and then back to Texas. He did this type of work for 31 years before retiring in late 2008.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Linda Kay (Salge) Dziuk of Houston; a son Brett R. Dziuk of Huntsville; two sisters, Evelyn (Harvey) Warnken and Jane (Ben) Olenick of San Antonio; a brother, Jerome "Jerry" (Shirley Hierholzer) Dziuk Jr. of San Antonio; seven nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Adam; and a nephew, Kent Warnken.
