Don Murray Viguet
FEBRUARY 1, 1935 – SEPTEMBER 24, 2018

on Murray Viguet, 83, of College Station, Texas went to be with the Lord on Monday September 24, 2018. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 28 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Interment will follow at the Aggie Field of Honor. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was born February 1, 1935 in Beaumont, Texas to Annie Lee Fazend Viguet and Ogden William Viguet. He played football and baseball at South Park High School.

Don was a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of ‘56. After college he spent his 35-year career at Dupont, serving in various engineering and management roles. Don was instrumental in chartering the Ducks Unlimited chapters in southeast Texas (Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, and Mid County). He also served on the Beaumont Junior Chamber of Commerce. He loved God, his country, his family, and friends. His hobbies included waterfowl hunting, bass fishing, playing golf, and attending Texas A&M athletic events.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margie; son Don Murray Viguet, Jr. and wife Charlotte; and his parents.

Survivors include his children, Vicky Viguet Yoes and her husband Tommy, of Nederland, Texas, Matthew Viguet and his wife Lee Ann of Azle, Texas, Mark Viguet ‘86 and his wife Amy ‘86 of Springfield, Missouri, Jeffrey Price and his wife Jane of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Yoes ‘00 and his wife Kim, Shannon Yoes Thomas ‘04 and her husband Chris ’02, Molly Viguet, Caleb Viguet, Drew Viguet, Hiliary Viguet, Christopher Dean ‘08 and his wife Mallory ’09, Chase Price ‘16; great-grandchildren, Brody Yoes, Cambre Yoes, Eli Thomas, Owen Murray Thomas, Hazel Thomas, and Oliver Dean.

Don Murray Viguet, 83, of College Station, Texas went to be with the Lord on Monday September 24, 2018.
