David Clinton Owens
March 17, 1940 - September 08, 2018
David was passionate in all things, especially for the poor, the prisoner, the refugee, the homeless, and all broken people because he, himself, knew the struggles of life . He spent his life fulfilling Jesus command to feed the hungry, invite the stranger
in, clothe the naked, and visit the prisoner.
He was an ordained Presbyterian minister and had a Ph. D. In English Literature from Texas A&M University. He was a mentor, teacher, pastor to many people throughout his life
His true love was his wife, Virginia. They were married almost 59 years. He leaves behind his wife, his daughters, Alyssa Stebbing and Amy Schreffler; grandchildren Rachel, Seth, Audrey, Esther, Dylan, and Ava; and siblings Bob, Roxanne, and Jan; and their
families.
