Spencer Bulger
September 12, 2018
Spencer David Bulger passed unexpectedly on September 12, 2018, at the age of 80 years, one month, 23 days after a life well lived.

A tried-and-true Texan, with a sincere helping nature, his beloved family and his dear Aggies were his passions.

He was an avid reader and could speak extensively on many subjects, especially Texas and world history.

In El Paso, being a big kid, he played football at Austin HS, and after Burgess HS graduation he headed off to Texas A&M University, graduating in 1960. He returned to El Paso and started his career in automobile dealership management, which took him to Midland, Austin, and ultimately San Antonio. He loved good Mexican food, all Aggie sports, especially football for which he officiated high school and WAC games in his younger years.

Spencer enjoyed mentoring and supporting his grandchildren in their basketball, baseball, football, whatever endeavors, rarely missing events. He was so proud of them all.

He was predeceased by father, William Simons Bulger, mother Lola Mae Crowder Bulger, and only sibling Ona Pearl Davis Lowe. Spencer is survived by wife Linda; daughter Heidi Kellett (Chris); son Brian Bulger (Margie); stepdaughter Karen Farmer (Gary); granddaughter Holly McNiel; grandsons Cody Farmer, Carson Farmer, Aaron McNiel; and great grandson Dawson Simpson; and many nieces and nephews. He was a family man with a love and faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Spencer was called "one of a kind", he enjoyed new and long friendships spanning many years, evidenced by the yearly reunions with his 1956 high school graduating classmates.

A celebration of Spencer's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Spencer Bulger to the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association, 1134 Pinfeather Drive, Bryan, TX 77803. He was an Aggie Corps recruiter all his life, inspiring young men and women to attend A&M and become Corps members.

He will be extremely missed by family and friends. The Aggie family has lost one of their most faithful supporters. Spencer was the ultimate 12th Man for family and many others.
