April 11, 1953 - September 03, 2018
Juan “JR” Roberto Gonzalez, 65, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018.
Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at White’s Azle Funeral Home.
Visitation: 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Porter Loring Funeral Home, San Antonio. A Rosary will follow the Visitation.
Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 10, 2018 at San Fernando III Cemetery, San Antonio.
JR was born April 11, 1953 in Fairfield, California to Juan Arizola Gonzalez and Refugia “Cookie” Ortiz Gonzalez.
He attended Central Catholic High graduating in 1971 went on to graduate from Texas A&M in the class of 1975. JR also graduated from the Texas DPS All Service Academy in 1979. He was employed with security at Lockheed Martin AE for over 30 years. He loved his guns, the Aggies and traveling but most of all his family.
JR was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors: Wife of almost 37 years, Dee Dee Gonzalez; father, Juan Gonzalez; children, Hope Brown and husband, Lee, Faith Gonzalez, Scott Gonzalez (Cassie) and Chris Whitfield; grandchildren, John Fowler and wife, Tabby, Dell Clark, Samantha Whitfield, Dallas Ryan and Chelse Brown; great-grandchildren, Rain and Clara Fowler; sister, Marlene Renteria and husband, Jesse and Cynthia Saldana and husband, Frank; sister-in-law, Shirley McBride; his fur baby, Miss Lily; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and friends
