Donald Franklin Cummings
August 02, 1931 - August 26, 2018
Donald Franklin Cummings, 87, of Temple, Texas passed away August 26, 2018 at his home. He was born August 2, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri to Glenn and Johnnie McDaniel Cummings. No services are planned at this time.
Don graduated from Texas A&M in 1952 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He was a first lieutenant in the Air Force and was stationed at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Don was a senior Vice President at Wilson Art International in Temple. He retired in 1996 after 38 years with the company.
Don was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Peggy L. Cummings. They were married from 1952 until she passed away in 1993. In 1995, he married Kora Moyers Cummings, who died in 2008. He was also predeceased by his son, Christopher Cummings in 2016. He is survived by his daughter Cathy Cummings Gates, and her husband Dr. Gus Gates.
Don was loved by many and will be remembered for his outstanding sense of humor and gregarious personality.
