Erle "Pete" Schmidt
JANUARY 16, 1925 – AUGUST 16, 2018

Erle Peyton (Pete) Schmidt died in San Antonio, Texas on the 16th day of August, 2018. He was born in Houston, Texas on January 16, 1925, and the family moved to San Antonio shortly thereafter. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers and receiving three battle stars in the European Theater of Operations. Erle Peyton Schmidt was a life-long resident of San Antonio, having attended San Antonio Academy and Texas Military Institute. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he graduated from Texas A & M University with a degree in Civil Engineering, Class of 1953. He was a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Mississippi and Texas. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will he conducted on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy; San Antonio, TX 78218.
