Robert Charles "Bob" Allen
February 21, 1942 - August 17, 2018
Robert Charles Allen, Bob, of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 17, 2018 at the age of 76. He was born on February 21, 1942 to Alfred J. and Roberta (Douglas) Allen in McKinney. Bob graduated from McKinney High School, and Texas A&M University. He served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, on the USS Lorraine. Bob returned to run the “family business,” Allen’s Wholesale Meats. He enjoyed playing golf, and in later years watching it! Bob also loved football, basketball, and baseball…especially, if A&M was playing!
He is survived by his son, John Allen and wife, Sherri of Allen, Texas; daughters, Sandi Mason of McKinney, Texas and Cheryl Beth Clark and husband, John Mark of Anna, Texas; grandkids, Parker Mason, Caleb Clark, and Joshua Clark.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred J. Allen Jr. and Roberta Allen.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2018 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
