Kenneth Roe Shouse(1963 - 2018)
December 2, 1963 - August 12, 2018 Kenneth Roe Shouse, 54, was born to Marcia and Wes Shouse in Big Spring, Texas on December 2nd, 1963. Ken was the youngest of three children. Ken attended Highland Park High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University in 1986. Ken married Karon Rogers Shouse November 29th 1986. He worked for Vista Chemicals from 1986-1989. Ken and Karon then moved to Atlanta, Georgia for Ken to attend graduate school at Georgia Tech University. He received his Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Doctorate in Electrical Engineering in 1993. Ken began working at Southwest Research Institute in September 1993. In 1998 Ken joined Econtrols, Incorporated as a partner. He dedicated two decades to excellence in engineering and mentoring young minds. Ken retired in April 2017 but continued to pursue his many passions.
Ken is survived by his wife Karon, son Corbin and fiancée Acacia Crouch, daughter Katy and husband Marc Reichel, his father Corbin Wesley Shouse, brother Clint and wife Margaret Shouse, sister Mary and husband Mark Block, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 25th at 7PM at his home in Fair Oaks Ranch.
