January 5, 1957 - July 16, 2018
Ann Elizabeth Dobbs passed away peacefully at her home in Austin on July 16, 2018. Born on January 5, 1957 in Houston, Ann earned her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in Library Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. Ann was an ardent lover of all animals but especially dogs, and was active in the sheep-herding community. A talented and generous artist, Ann shared many of her creations – ceramics, quilts, drawings – with her family members, friends, and charities such as Project Linus.
Preceding Ann in death were her mother Jane Preston Dobbs, father Herman Allen Dobbs, Jr., niece Grace Kerrigan, and great-nephew Elan Kai Dobbs. Ann is survived by stepmother Kathy Hall, siblings Lynn Fountain, Allen Dobbs, David Dobbs, Sarah Kerrigan, and Cynthia Dobbs, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family plans to hold a private ceremony honoring Ann at a later date.
