Thomas Orvelle Wimberly
January 15, 1959 - July 03, 2018
Funeral services for Thomas Orvelle Wimberly, 59, of Denton, Texas were held at 2 P.M. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Wimberly Chapel with Rev. Dr. Paul “Curtis” Carroll, Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Wimberly Cemetery near Ringgold, Louisiana. Services were under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home, Coushatta, LA.
Thomas Orvelle Wimberly of Denton, Texas was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 15, 1959. He attended secondary schools in Florida, Virginia, California, and Texas; graduating from high school in Beeville, Texas. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University at College Station. Thomas was a licensed airframe and engine mechanic. He had heart problems at age 20, and in the year 2014 and 2017. He was found dead on July 3, 2018, with cause of death suspected as heart attack.
Thomas is survived by his parents, Tommy C. Wimberly, Captain U.S. Navy Retired, and Guaynell Dunsworth Wimberly of Corpus Christi, TX; two sisters, Judy Wimberly O’Leary of Virginia Beach, VA and Patricia Ann Wimberly of Corpus Christi, TX; one brother, John K. Wimberly of San Antonio, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Clara Wimberly; and maternal grandparents, Orvelle and Bess Dunsworth.
