December 4, 1957 - May 13, 2018
Chris was the son of Robert and Betty Austin. Chris graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and was a proud Aggie with a BS degree in Architecture. His last master creation was a 3 story house in Port Aransas that withstood a direct hit by Hurricane Harvey! Chris loved his family and his three girls. Chris was man of many talents, a free spirit and a friend to all.
Chris is survived by his daughters Anna, Elizabeth, Kristina, his mother Betty Backer, sister Debbie, brother Rob, father Robert and other family members.
Chris had a devastating heart attack about three years ago and was generous in his passing as he donated his organs. His ashes will reside at Sunset Memorial Cemetery where his grandmother Juanita (Saunders) McCormick, Sister Kathy, and brother-in-law Tim Miller are buried and at "Burning Man". He is missed, loved, and will be long remembered!
A memorial service will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church on Friday, July 13th at 6:00pm and a Celebration of Life will be held at Calahan's Pizza Pub in New Braunfels on Saturday, July 14th at 12:00pm.
